| Since it seems some people like riddles, brain teasers, and logic puzzles, I'm starting a puzzles topic. Riddle: If you are in a dark room with a candle, a wood stove and a gas lamp. You only have one match, so what do you light first? | |

| no, second because if he was behind the person in second that means he was just in third. then he passed him and now he is in second and the other guy is now in third | |

| Lol, I was hoping somebody would answer that way. Now for the next one.
Starting with HATE, change one letter at a time until you have the word LOVE. Each change leaves the other letters in their original places and must result in a proper word. What is the minimum number of steps required to achieve this change?
HATE .... .... .... LOVE | |

the 3 cats would catch 3 mice in 3 days. I know the problem is supposed to make you think that's right but it's not. This one really has people stumped... The Brain Teaser: - Quote :
- If cat and a half can catch a mouse and a half in a day and a half how many mice can 3 cats catch in 3 days?
This is not the answer, it's a hint to help those that are stumped. - Spoiler:
It would take 1 cat a day and a half to catch 1 mouse

this system is bonned if it isnt! Correct! The reason for this is because of the ratios. - If a cat and a half can catch a mouse and a half in a day and a half, then a cat needs a day and a half to catch a mouse.
- There are three cats, and they have three days. three cats can catch three mice in a day and a half.
- With twice the amount of time they can catch twice as many mice. So the answer is six.

| Doesn't matter. It tells you how many days the food lasts, then it says it's one-half the ration. So, even if it's three meals a day it's still half the food they originally got a day. | |
