I dont listen to much music, but when i do, its usally wierd al, but i also like some heavy metal now and then (dont care which artist, dont car much for lyrics in heavy metal)

if i google the song lyrics yeah, otherwise, no

i listen to music even less than frager. that is to say, almost never. not that i dont like music, but i cant just sit there and listen to it. its not entertaining enough.

I mostly agree with this, but I've found a few bands that have good lyrics (Like Matisyahu, Jewish rapper ), and technically Linkin Park is rock/rap.

i don't really like rap/pop/techno... for me to listen to it, it needs to have the "band" aspect, in my opinion.
at least drums, lead guitar, (optional rhythm, or in Metallica's case...lol) bass, and a vocalist. although i do enjoy several instrumentals.

Mostly agree with you there. But I do enjoy some "techno" that doesn't have the band aspect to it. Mostly because it's actually solo keyboard (I play the keyboard for my church) and it's similar to piano music.

Closest thing to rap I'll listen to is Rage Against the Machine, but that's just in the lyrics.
With rap... i have no problem with the vocal styling of it, i mean Rage is all like that.
but really...

lol, my friend just made a comment today about Rage Against the Machines. The only reason he likes them is because Tom Morello plays guitar.

The music is good, can't say they're my fav. band but i like to dabble.

No, he actually hates Guitar Hero because he plays real guitar and says it's nothing like the real thing, but he like Tom Morello because of his style. He actually listens to a lot of bands that are on the guitar hero games, but he knew about the bands before guitar hero released them on their games.

A good example of this would be Dragonforce. He introduced me to them a while after Guitar Hero 2 came out, but after a few months of Guitar Hero 3 being out he got tired of hearing their music too much.
